Sheriff: Missouri man caught transporting cocaine in Kansas

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations

Just before 4:30p.m. May 16, a Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop involving a 2000 GMC Yukon on U.S. Highway 75 near 118th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

During the traffic stop, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, during which open containers of alcohol, drug paraphernalia, and cocaine were allegedly located.

The driver, Diego Galaviz-Lopez, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container of alcohol, and driving without a valid driver’s license.

The passenger, Ramon Aguilera Rodriguez, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for allegedly transporting an open container of alcohol.
