NODAWAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident after 6:30p.m. Thursday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chevy Malibu driven by an 18-year-old Sheridan man was eastbound on U.S. 136 at Route EE two miles east of Maryville. The car rear-ended a 2015 Nissan Murano driven by a 17-year-old Maryville girl who had slowed to turn north. After impact, the SUV traveled off the road and struck a ditch.
Nodaway County EMS transported the 18-year-old to Mosaic in Maryville. The 17-year-old was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
