Jerry Lee Faris, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025.
He was born February 25, 1947 in Maryville, Missouri to Harold Lee and Geraldine Ruth (Yeager) Faris.
For 38 years, Jerry forged a career at Friskies, where he retired.
Jerry was a man of many interests. He was an avid shopper, always on the lookout for the best deals. Drumming was not only a hobby but a form of expression for Jerry. A spark of excitement always filled his eyes whenever he visited the casino. He also had a fascination with the forces of nature which led him to storm chasing.
Jerry enjoyed capturing life’s precious moments, often seen taking photos and making home videos. Jerry also took great pleasure in taking his grandchildren on numerous adventures during their younger years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ricky D. Faris.
Survivors include his wife, Diane (Estes) Faris of 63 years; daughter, Shelly Faris (Chris Robertson); grandchildren, Trevor Slagle (Latrisha), Kylee Slagle (Brandon McQueen), Austin Slagle (Shelby Mullen), Myles Jaramillo (Cayanna Campbell), Tyler Jaramillo, and Christopher Robertson; great-grandchildren, Kaden Slagle, Zane Slagle, Raelynn Slagle, Kihgan Jaramillo, Ryker Jaramillo, Creed Slagle, Rowan Jaramillo, and Asher Slagle; sister, Ruthann Thayer (Karl).
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
