ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.
Just after 6:00p.m. April 24, police responded to Walmart, 1920 US-73, Atchison, to investigate a theft, according Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Christian Chavez, 34, St. Joseph Mo, was taken into custody on a requested charge of theft. The investigation led officers to a second woman, later identified as Mindy S. Kay, 43, St. Jospeh, who was in a vehicle outside the store who was found to be in possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the County Jail. Kay is being held on requested charges of possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.
