John Leroy Pace Jr., 54, of Shenandoah, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025, doing what he loved most - riding his motorcycle with the wind in his face and freedom in his heart.

Born in Creston, Iowa, to John Pace and Connie (Lamb) Pace, John was a true free spirit who lived life on his own terms. He had a deep passion for the open road, often found cruising on his motorcycle, with his grand-kids begging for rides. When he wasn't riding, he could be found fishing at his favorite spot, hunting in the Iowa wilderness, or working on cars and motorcycles in his garage. His hands were rarely still, always fixing, building, or tinkering with something.

John's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Pace; his children, Amber (Chad) Kingery, John Pace III (Jamie), Shawn (Kerri) Kasha, Adam Sickels (Jenna), and Dennis Pace (Calle); his adored grandchildren, Payton, Preston, Mark, Lydia, Paisley, Waylon, Norah, Averi, Rilee, and Kennedy; as well as honorary children, Harley and Kevin, who held a special place in his heart; his sister, Jodi (Darren) Jeter; his nieces and nephews, Brianna (Warren), Heather, Zachary (Lexi), Dustin, and Adailee; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Connie (Lamb) Pace; his grandparents, Don and Signe Pace and Dennis and Pearl Lamb; and many aunts and uncles who welcomed him home.

In true John fashion, the family encourages everyone to honor his memory by taking a ride on a sunny day, casting a line into the water, or simply spending time with loved ones.

John's wild spirit, contagious laugh, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. Ride free, John - your legacy lives on in every revved engine and every grandchild's smile.
