Kaleena Christine Saxton, daughter of Sherry Lee Collins and Michael Saxton Sr., was born August 26, 1982, in Omaha, Nebraska. She entered into eternal rest June 18, 2025, in Shenandoah, Iowa, at the age of 42, 9 months and 23 days.
The majority of Kaleena’s life was spent living in Omaha, Nebraska. While living in Omaha, Kaleena graduated from Burke High School with the Class of 2001. It was in 2021 that she moved to Shenandoah, Iowa.
She was an amazing writer. Kaleena loved all people and things, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Some of her other favorite animals were horses, dolphins, and elephants. She was also a fan of Disney, and Stitch was her favorite Disney character.
Left to cherish Kaleena’s memory are her mother, Sherry Collins; father, Michael Saxton Sr.; sisters, Julie Crawford, Amy Rodgers, and Ashley Jimenez; brother, Michael Saxton Jr.; many nieces, nephews, loved family members and friends. Preceding her in death were grandparents, James and Mary Collins; stepfather, Alvin Crawford; aunts and uncles, Donald and Marilyn Goodell; Raymond and Elaine Collins; Kermit and Virginia Cornelius; James and Berniece Smith; and many other family members.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Parkway Church of God in Omaha, Nebraska. Memorials may be directed to the family for designation.
