Margaret Ann Saville, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on, January 13th, 1952, in Maryville, MO, Margaret spent her entire life in the community she cherished.

Margaret was a dedicated educator, having earned her teaching degree from Northwest Missouri State University. She devoted her career to nurturing young minds at Guilford, MO. Her passion for education extended beyond the classroom as she also ran a daycare for many years, touching the lives of countless children and their families.

A member of Modern Mothers, Margaret was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Margaret had a love for music and was an avid card sender, always remembering to send thoughtful notes for every occasion to friends and family alike.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Rodney Lee Saville, of Maryville, MO; her loving daughters, Megan Carter of Maryville, MO, and Erin Fletchall of Grant City, MO; her brothers, Kenneth Hunt of Mount Ayr, IA, and Keith (Rhonda) Hunt of Milo, IA; and her sister, Marjorie Tully of Iowa City, IA. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Saville, Levi Carter, Alyssa Fletchall, and Katie Fletchall, as well as her great-grandchildren, Nova Carter, Cruze Carter, Logan Saville, and Dax Saville. Margaret's legacy also lives on through her many students, daycare kids, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amon Hunt and Lois Hunt; her parents-in-law, Elvin and May Saville; her sister, Rebecca Hunt; a nephew Kelly Hunt; sister-in-law, Maggie Hunt; niece, Katie Tully.

Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Monday, August 4th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Margaret's life will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Matthew Saville, Levi Carter, Alyssa Fletchall, and Katie Fletchall.

Gerald Francis Kramer, 84 of Stanberry, Missouri, passed on Thursday July 31, 2025, at his home. &nbsp;Gerald was born on March 25, 1941, to Edward Kramer and Rose (Darlinghaus) Kramer and raised on a farm in Baileyville, Kansas. &nbsp;He attended a Catholic grade school and was a 1959 graduate from Baileyville Highschool. &nbsp;Gerald moved from Baileyville, Kansas after high school to Conception, Missouri and was employed at the Benedictine Convent and the Conception Abbey helping with farming. &nbsp;Gerald married Patricia M. Mc Crary on October 3, 1964, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Stanberry, Missouri. &nbsp;Gerald and Patricia moved to Stanberry and Gerald worked at Hawthorne’s Furniture store delivering furniture and serving the community. &nbsp;Gerald and his family served the community in Stanberry with mowing yards and doing odd jobs. &nbsp;Gerald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. &nbsp;Gerald loved his family and enjoyed many hobbies such as playing cards, gardening, mowing, cutting wood, woodworking and fixing things. &nbsp;After retiring, Gerald continued to be active and always seen at Big 4 Hardware daily having a cup of coffee and visiting with his friends. Gerald was a devoted catholic and a member of St. Peter’s Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;

His legacy leaves behind his wife Patricia. &nbsp;She survives in the home. &nbsp;Additional survivors one sister, Wilma (Kramer) Steinlage of Seneca, Kansas; their seven children, Angela (Dennis) Simmerman, Stephen (Tara) Kramer, Joanna (Jeff) Sullivan, Jennifer Finch, Robert (Christina) Kramer, Christina (Travis) Atkins, Jeremy (Kristine) Kramer; 16 grandchildren, Michael Simmerman, Sara Thompson, David Simmerman, Ally Henry, Raeanna Atkins, Tricia Simmerman, Lindsey Coffman, Jacob Finch, Katelyn Kramer, Jason Sullivan, Kole Kramer, Summer Atkins, Dakota Coffman, Jessica Finch, Casey Phillips, Wyatt Kramer, Emily Atkins, Cora Kramer, Elijah Atkins, Hattie Kramer, Elliot Atkins; &nbsp;10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Richard Daniel “Danny” Hicks (75) passed away July 31, 2025 at Tiffany Care Center in Mound City surrounded by his loving family. &nbsp;

Danny was born July 11th, 1950, in Fairfax, Missouri to Jesse Burrel “Dicks” Hicks and Mary Ellen Hicks, nee Adamson. Danny’s younger sibling Krissan Stacey (Frank), joined the family in July 1955. &nbsp;

Danny attended elementary, middle, and high school(s) at Fairfax, R-III. &nbsp;He graduated from Fairfax High in May of 1968.

It was in high school, where he met the love of his life, Joetta Jean Hicks, nee Kerr. &nbsp;Danny and Joetta dated throughout high school and were married on May 24, 1970. &nbsp;They remained married for a little over 55 years, until Danny’s passing in July 2025. &nbsp;Together they raised three children: Christopher Ray Hicks of Mississippi, Shawndra Danielle Bunch (David) of Virginia, and Corie Dawn Hicks of Fairfax. &nbsp;Later in their marriage Danny and Joetta welcomed niece and nephew Samantha Beth Kerr of Rock Port and Michael Darin Kerr of Harrisonville, MO. &nbsp;There is no question that together they built a life not of material things but one rich in love, humor, friendship, and family. &nbsp;

Danny enjoyed many things in life, but he was a simple man who enjoyed simple things. &nbsp;He was especially fond of family, friends, and fishing with Larry Flanagan. &nbsp;Danny also enjoyed cooking on the grill, Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department fish fries, mowing his yard when he was able, and sitting in the garage with his sister Krissan and brother-in-law Frank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law (Darlene), niece (Lisa), and nephews (Donald, Robbie, &amp; Eric), as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his children, Christopher, Shawndra, and Corie, as well as special niece and nephew Samantha and Michael; sister Krissan (Frank); grandchildren, Anthony Bunch (Shawndra), Noah Hicks (Christopher), Trevelyan Hicks (Corie), Harper Hicks (Corie), Aidan Smyser (Samantha), Emily Herrington (Samantha), Cyrus Herrington (Samantha), Barrett Kerr (Michael), and Brooklyn Kerr (Michael), and numerous nieces and nephews who knew Danny as “Uncle Dumb Dumb” and Joetta as “Aunt Dopey.” &nbsp;Danny was also lovingly monickered by his grandchildren as “BoBo”.

Donald Dean Salsbury of Bolckow, Missouri, passed away July 31, 2025 at his home. Don was born October 17, 1948 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of Ivan A. and Virginia J. (Townsend) Salsbury. He graduated from Miami Yoder High School.&nbsp;&nbsp;Don lived in the Rush, Colorado area until moving to Missouri in April of 1974.

On December 4, 1969, he married Louise McGaugh, who survives of the home.&nbsp;&nbsp;They had three children, Alethea (Lea) &amp; (Darren) Dzurick of Fulton, Missouri, Rebekah Salsbury of McFall, Missouri, and David W. (Jammie) Salsbury of Bunceton, Missouri.

Don worked construction most of his life, building and remodeling houses.&nbsp;&nbsp;He retired from carpentry and continued working at Kawasaki until contracting cancer in December of 2021.

Don enjoyed junking and attending auctions, even attending auctioneers school in the late 1980s. He also enjoyed doing many things with his family. Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by a sister Ginger Lea Salsbury Straub.

Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Ivan E. (Cathy) Salsbury of Bolckow, Missouri; sister, Patricia Salsbury, King City, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and many friends.

Garland O'Riley August 28, 1945-July 30, 2025

Marvin Lee Chubick, 76, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.&nbsp;

Marvin was born in Maryville on April 16, 1949, to Alfred Mervin Chubick and Joyce Helen Graham. He was a lifelong resident of the area. &nbsp;

He served his country in the US Air Force.&nbsp; He worked for 36 years at Laclede Chain Manufacturing of Maryville, as the plant furnace room operator. He enjoyed attending KC Royals baseball games, hunting and fishing, and playing Bingo.&nbsp;

On December 6, 1973, at the Assembly of God Church in Maryville, Marvin was united in marriage to Barbara Louise Seipel. They were married for 51 years before she passed away on February 20, 2025. He was also preceded by his son, Chad A. Chubick, in 2017, also his parents, Alfred Chubick and Joyce Wallace, his step father, Barney Wallace, and his brother in law, Howard Shimak.

Marvin has been cremated and his memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri. No formal visitation is planned.

Marvin Lee Chubick, 76, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.&nbsp;Marvin was born in Maryville on April 16, 1949, to Alfred Mervin Chubick and Joyce Helen Graham. He was a lifelong resident of the area. &nbsp;He served his country in the US Air Force.&nbsp; He worked for 36 years at Laclede Chain Manufacturing of Maryville, as the plant furnace room operator. He enjoyed attending KC Royals baseball games, hunting and fishing, and playing Bingo.&nbsp;On December 6, 1973, at the Assembly of God Church in Maryville, Marvin was united in marriage to Barbara Louise Seipel. They were married for 51 years before she passed away on February 20, 2025. He was also preceded by his son, Chad A. Norma Elaine (Welch) Schneider left the earthly dance floor for the last time to dance with the angels in heaven on July 25th, 2025.

Norma was born September 1st, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska to Paul J. Welch and Jennie McMahon King. &nbsp;She treasured her time growing up in Parnell, Missouri surrounded by her cousins and closest friends.

Her business savviness started early when she served at King’s, her mother’s restaurant. While working, she met Gary E. Schneider and the two married December 16, 1962. &nbsp;Norma went on to run the infamous Lil Duffer Drive-In with her husband while her truest passion was being a dedicated wife, mother to Dana, Craig and Suzi, grandmother and great-grandmother. &nbsp;Norma was also a member of the Canasta Card Club. &nbsp;Norma didn’t just play Canasta – she lived it. &nbsp;If sass and strategy were cards, she had a full house.&nbsp;

Gary and Norma moved from Maryville to Osage Beach, Missouri in 1995. She made fast friends with anyone that crossed her path while working at Dog Days Bar &amp; Grill in the t-shirt shack where she was known as the, “T-Shirt Lady.” &nbsp;She would join party goers working until she was 92 years young. &nbsp;Norma loved music, Big Bands, Frank Sinatra and chasing her favorite artists seeing Madonna, Rod Stewart and Bon Jovi in concert. &nbsp;Her decades spent at the lake were filled with a robust social calendar with the Newcomers/Longtimers, bridge group and daily Panera meetups with her friends the “Occupied Democrats.” &nbsp;She never knew a stranger, enjoyed a good glass of wine and celebrated that everyone called her “Grandma.” &nbsp;Her grands made her world go round and she adored her time with each of them.

Norma returned to Maryville in 2021, where she lived peacefully enjoying the company of her family with her daughter Suzi and son-in-law Nick providing care until her death. Enjoying her summers with her great-granddaughters Izzy and Gabby. &nbsp;Support from her caregiver Judy Stephens kept her at home and without hospitalization, a true gift.

It’s easy to picture her sweet smile. &nbsp;She will be remembered for her fun-loving personality, a bright light that was always there to shine for children Dana Schneider of Bozeman, Montana, Craig (Christy) Schneider of Kansas City, Missouri, Suzi (Nick) Anderson-Freeman of Maryville, Missouri; Grandchildren Ashley Silvers (Trevor Gardner) of Camdenton, Missouri, Quintin (Ray Roberts IV) Schneider of Kansas City, Missouri, Kyle Schneider of Kansas City, Missouri; Great Grandchildren Izzy and Gabby Silvers of Camdenton, Missouri. &nbsp;She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jennie, her brother Paul A. Welch Sr. and sister Betty Welch; husband Gary E. Schneider, former son-in-law Jeff Anderson; her beloved beagle Gus and her Granddogs Scout, Boo, Attie, Harper and Jovi.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 4th 2025, at St. Gregory’s Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Parnell, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church. &nbsp;

Alica was employed as a cook for numerous locations including Disney and Tarkio College. She enjoyed watching movies and reading. Alica passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 70.

Besides her parents, Alica was preceded in death by numerous siblings. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

There is no scheduled visitation or memorial service.

Barbara Jean "Dolly" (Smith) Scarbrough&nbsp;passed away on July 24th, 2025 at Tiffany Care Center in Mound City surrounded by her loving family. &nbsp;

Dolly was born July 17th, 1932 in rural Atchison County to William and Selma Smith. &nbsp;She was born at 3 lbs and was the &nbsp;baby of 15 children. Hence, where the nickname, Dolly, came from. &nbsp;Prior to starting school, the family moved to Mound City where she remained for the rest of her life.

Dolly attended elementary at Bagby Country School and attended High School at Mound City. &nbsp;It was in the school where she met her husband, Frankie Scarbrough. &nbsp;They were married on September 10th, 1949. &nbsp;Together they raised three children: Gary Lee, Selma Kay and Marc Alan.

Dolly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother where she prided herself in keeping a tidy house. &nbsp; She enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking her famous banana bread and apple dumplings for her family.

Dolly was happiest when her family was gathered around her table to share a homemade meal. &nbsp;

She was preceded in death her parents and 13 siblings (Erma, Ruby, Mildred, Dorothy, Joe David, Eldon, Miriam, Wilma, Wayne, Herschel, Wiley, Raymond, Mary Lea); her husband, Frankie Scarbrough; and daughter-in-law, Judi Scarbrough. &nbsp;

She is survived by her children, Gary Scarbrough, Kay (Mark) Sitherwood, and Marc (Dana) Scarbrough; sister, Helen Derr; grandchildren, Jason Scarbrough, Jodi Pecora (Mike), Kasey Miles (Korey), Jeremy Sitherwood (Stephani), Mitchell Scarbrough and Jamie Short (Ben); great grandchildren, Reese, Andrew, Abigail, Frankee, Ryder, Jaeger , Jonas, &nbsp;Landon and River; and numerous nieces and nephews.

N. J. “Junior” Blessing, 94, Bethany, MO passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at a Bethany, MO nursing home.

He was born on November 28, 1930, in Harrison County, Missouri the son of Herman and Beulah Faye (Grace) Blessing.

On May 29, 1952, he married Jonell Taylor at the home of O.W. Hedges. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2020.

Junior served in the Army National Guard and worked as a farmer and rural mail carrier. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Angus Association, and he loved to fly and was a member of the Cloud Hoppers for 70 years.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Tina Shipers.

Junior is survived by his children, Paula (Steve) York, Marcia (Mike) Willis, and Steve Blessing, all of Bethany, MO; five grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Barbara Jean Cox, 90, of Bethany, MO, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Crestview Nursing Home, Bethany, MO.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Barbara Jean Williamson was born on February 4, 1935 in her parent's home in Albany, MO, the daughter of Joseph and Opal (Reed) Williamson. She graduated from Albany High School in 1953 and worked at Old American Insurance until her marriage to Isaac N. Cox in 1961. Barbara moved to Bethany and together they started CTL Farm Service in 1968, their own business, which operated until 1990, before being sold to 'Little Ike'. The Cox’s ran Commerce Park until their retirement in 2000.&nbsp; &nbsp; Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Isaac; her daughters: Debbie (Charles) Moulin and Stephanie (Doug) Bryan; and grandson, Jason Cox.&nbsp; &nbsp; 

She is survived by her daughter, Toni (Sage) Million, of Lebanon, MO; son, Isaac L. Cox, of Bethany; her granddaughters, Rowan Million and Kellie (Grant) Rice; and great grandchildren: Genevieve, Francesca and Viviene Rice, Quinton Cox, Maggie and Tyler Pankau.

Barbara Cox February 4, 1935-July 24, 2025

Danny Lynn Michel, a loving husband, father, grandfather and trusted friend, died July 26, 2025 after battling cancer. He was 76 years old.

Born December 24, 1948 in Shenandoah, Iowa at Hand Hospital to Frederick "Freddy" Gerhard and Leora May (Jochim) Michel. &nbsp;He was raised on the family farm located on The Michel Mile west of Northboro, Iowa. He spent his youth enjoying farm life with his sister Peggy and many cousins. Danny attended Hillsdale Country School until its closing. He often laughed and told that he did not get any recess until third grade because he could not remember to call the teacher “Miss Michel” instead of “Aunt Anna”. He graduated from Farragut Community Schools in 1967. After high school, he went on to Northwest Missouri State College and graduated in 1971 with a B.S in Vocational Agriculture Education. Danny married Lois Means on May 23, 1971. This union created three beautiful daughters that were his pride and joy. Angela (Brad) Michel Tice, Amy (Jerome) Michel Bahm, and Stacy (Justin) Michel James.&nbsp;

Much of Danny’s employment had been in agriculture related areas. His job with Wilson Foods took the family to Fonda, Iowa. Danny and Lois divorced in 1984 and his daughters continued to live in Fonda. Danny moved back to southwest Iowa and worked as a farm manager. He married Marne Sober Johnson on July 1, 1989. Through this marriage he gained a bonus son Chad Johnson and daughter Katie (Rob) Johnson Livingston. Danny loved children and one of his greatest joys was getting to help raise his granddaughter, Samantha Johnson.&nbsp;

As well as a loving family man and trusted friend, Danny was an avid nature lover and hunter. &nbsp;He had a great talent for calling in ducks and made many lifelong friends traveling the duck migration from Canada to Mexico. Danny found solace and joy in the early morning hours spent in the duck blind, sharing stories and laughter with friends and family. &nbsp;

Danny’s passion for duck hunting extended beyond the sport itself. He cherished the camaraderie of the hunting community and the time spent outdoors. He was known for his infectious laugh, storytelling abilities, nonstop jokes, and generosity, If you needed help, Danny was there. His love for the outdoors and kind spirit will be deeply missed.&nbsp;

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Northboro. &nbsp;Burial will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.&nbsp; There will be open visitation at the funeral home, without the family present on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church to honor the church he grew up in. &nbsp; The family is hosting a reception following the graveside services at the Waterfall Event Center in Farragut from 11:30 until 1:00 p.m. &nbsp;Danny loved a good sandwich, cookies and lots and lots of ice cream.&nbsp;

Danny Lynn Michel, a loving husband, father, grandfather and trusted friend, died July 26, 2025 after battling cancer. He was 76 years old.Born December 24, 1948 in Shenandoah, Iowa at Hand Hospital to Frederick "Freddy" Gerhard and Leora May (Jochim) Michel. &nbsp;He was raised on the family farm located on The Michel Mile west of Northboro, Iowa. He spent his youth enjoying farm life with his sister Peggy and many cousins. Danny attended Hillsdale Country School until its closing. He often laughed and told that he did not get any recess until third grade because he could not remember to call the teacher “Miss Michel” instead of “Aunt Anna”. He graduated from Farragut Community Schools in 1967. After high school, he went on to Northwest Missouri State College and graduated in 1971 with a B.S in Vocational Agriculture Education. Danny married Lois Means on May 23, 1971. This union created three beautiful daughters that were his pride and joy. Angela (Brad) Michel Tice, Amy (Jerome) Michel Bahm, and Stacy (Justin) Michel James.&nbsp;Much of Danny’s employment had been in agriculture related areas. His job with Wilson Foods took the family to Fonda, Iowa. Danny and Lois divorced in 1984 and his daughters continued to live in Fonda. Danny moved back to southwest Iowa and worked as a farm manager. He married Marne Sober Johnson on July 1, 1989. Through this marriage he gained a bonus son Chad Johnson and daughter Katie (Rob) Johnson Livingston. Danny loved children and one of his greatest joys was getting to help raise his granddaughter, Samantha Johnson.&nbsp;As well as a loving family man and trusted friend, Danny was an avid nature lover and hunter. &nbsp;He had a great talent for calling in ducks and made many lifelong friends traveling the duck migration from Canada to Mexico. Sarah “Sally Barker” Turner, the daughter of Dennis and Helen (Lindsay) Long, was born April 8, 1942, in Tarkio, Missouri. She attended Tarkio High School, graduating in 1960.

On August 16, 2017, Sarah was united in marriage to David Turner. She made her home in Tarkio until moving to Nevada, Missouri, where she lived until the present time.

Sarah was a babysitter, caring for numerous local children in Atchison County. She was then employed by YSI Academy in Tarkio, before being employed by Wildhorse Bar and Grill, where she was known for her amazing tenderloins. Sarah later worked for McDonalds, where she later retired.

Sarah was a member of Good News Church, Tarkio. She enjoyed cooking. Sarah passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at her home in Nevada, at the age of 83.

Besides her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by brother, Jim Bob Barker; niece, Heidi Barker. Survivors include husband, David Turner; sisters, Peggy Smith and Penny Romano; numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill Rex Murphy, 91, Gentry, MO passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his home.&nbsp;

He was born on February 15, 1934, in Alanthus, Missouri the son of William Ralph and Dorothy (Goucher) Murphy.

On June 28, 1958, he married Carol Ann Siewert in Michigan. She survives of the home.

Bill served in the United States Army and farmed in Gentry County, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jean Stolee and Mary Updegraff; and brothers, George and Bob Murphy.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Larry (Ginger) Murphy, Dennis Murphy, Billy Murphy, Connie Murphy (Larry Schubert), Michael (Carla) Murphy, Dale (Annette) Murphy; sisters-in-law, Margot Murphy and Twila Murphy; brother-in-law, John Stolee; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carolyn Zirfas Lewis, 87, of Maryville, died Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Carolyn was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Maryville, to Oliver and Mary (Heitman) Roney. She spent part of her childhood growing up on a farm with her siblings, Ellouise (Tote), Bill, and Nancy. Her favorite part was raising the baby lambs.

Later, the family moved to town, where Carolyn met many of her lifelong friends and graduated from Maryville High School in 1955.

On March 3, 1962, Carolyn married Cleo Zirfas. They had two children, Todd, in 1963, and Tanya, in 1964. Carolyn treasured her time at home with her children and being involved at St. Gregory’s Church and school. She loved card nights, coffee, and conversations with friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by Todd, in 1982, and Cleo, in 1990. She began working at Family Medicine in 1982 where she made many new friends and worked for over a decade. She loved meeting new people and helping others in difficult times.

On Dec. 26, 1992, Carolyn married Ronald Lewis and welcomed many wonderful family members into her life. After retirement, the two moved to Lake Viking where they enjoyed hosting family and friends and spending time out on their boat. Carolyn cherished her role as a grandmother, known as Mama, and she and Ron made frequent trips to Cedar Rapids with their little dog Ollie in tow.

Ron and Carolyn bought their dream house in Maryville, where they spent many happy days together.

Carolyn was preceded in death by Ron, in 2018; her stepson, Daniel Lewis; grandson, Robbie Lewis; brother, Bill Roney; sister, Ellouise Decker; and Ellouise&amp; husband, Jerry.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Jeffrey) Rosencrants; granddaughters, Madison (Nick) Michaud and Peyton Rosencrants; a great-grandson, Teddy Michaud; stepsons, Richard (Millie), Robert (Lynn), and Donnis (Rita) Lewis; daughter-in-law Rita Ann (Lewis) Hayes; many beloved step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Nancy (Lee) Moser; sisters-in-law, Joyce and Zattie Lewis, Monica Zirfas, and brother-in-law Jerry Schieber.

A rosary will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at St. Gregory’s Bargarigo Catholic Church in Maryville, with visitation to follow until 7:30.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Gregory’s, followed by a burial service at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Bram Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Nodaway County Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program and St. Gregory’s Catholic School.

Larry Lager, 79, of Conception Junction, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville.

Larry was born on July 23, 1945, in Maryville, Missouri to Lawrence B. and Beatrice D. (Wiederholt) Lager, Sr. He was a graduate of Jefferson C-123 High School and was a lifelong farmer. He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. Larry was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post #464.

He married Patty A. O’Day on February 24, 1968, in Maryville, Missouri. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include their children, Steve (Angie) Lager, Chris (Steve) Schenkel; grandchildren, Dominique (Andy) Hamilton, Morgan (David) Stickelman, James (Kim) Russell, Megan Russell, Parker Schenkel, Cameron Schenkel and Bethany Schenkel; great-grandchildren, Alison, Patrick, Autumn, Jacob, Abigail, Xander, Zabriella, Aiden, Lacey, Kale, Lucas and Weston; brother, Chuck (Chelyn) Lager; three sisters, Rose (Raymond) Frueh, Berniece (Bill) Stephenson and Mary (Bill) Metcalf.

Michael Floyd Schwartz, son of Floyd Lenville and Dorothy Bessie (Chadwick) Schwartz, was born in Prairie de Chein, Wisconsin, on July 10, 1937. He entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2025, in Shenandoah, Iowa, at the age of 88 years and 4 days.

The earlier part of Michael’s life was spent growing up in Madison, Wisconsin, where he attended East Side High School and graduated with the Class of 1955. Immediately after graduating, Michael enlisted in the United States Navy and spent 20 years serving his country.

Following his time in the Navy, he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for Dane County in Madison, Wisconsin, then moved to Colorado where he worked for HW Moore and Rocky Mountain Machinery, both located in Denver. In 1991, Michael started working for the City of Denver and retired in 1999.

On October 15, 2015, Michael was united in marriage to Eileen (Barman) Knudson in Denver, Colorado. The couple remained in Denver before recently relocating to Shenandoah, Iowa. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Diane Farrell. Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Eileen of Shenandoah, Iowa; brother, James Schwartz and wife Denny of Vancouver, Washington; son, Donald Schwartz of Madison, Wisconsin; step-daughter, Emerald Green and husband Kelly of Shenandoah, Iowa; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Robert Glen Gonzalez, the son of Eddie Gonzalez and Lynn Wagner, was born July 19, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. He attended McMinnville High School, McMinnville, Oregon, graduating in 1982. On February 27, 1985, Robert entered the United States Army, serving his country as an Army Ranger Medic. He received his honorable discharge on April 1, 1988.

On October 14, 1989, Robert was united in marriage to Ann R. Poppa and became the parents of two children, Shayne and Olivia. They made their home in Tarkio, Missouri, until moving to Branson, Missouri in 1993.

Robert proudly served for Western Taney County Fire Department as a Firefighter and First Responder. He retired in 2011. He also owned and operated numerous businesses, including construction, restaurants, and maintenance. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid Oregon Ducks fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Robert passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his home in Branson, at the age of 62.

Besides his mother, Lynn Wagner, Robert was preceded in death by sister, Cheryl Gonzalez; numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include wife, Ann Gonzalez, Branson; children, Shayne (Ashley) Gonzalez, Olivia Gonzalez, both of Branson, Jamie Mullinex, and Joshua Parton; grandchildren, Summer and Khloe Pollard, Briar Gonzalez, and Sephie Parton; father, Eddie Gonzalez; sisters, Lisa Cowan and Linda MacClanathan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Shelley (Ronald) Thomson, and Scott (Bobbi) Poppa; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 28, 2025, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Westboro, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 A.M., Monday, prior to the service. There is no open visitation.

Interment: St. John’s Cemetery, Westboro.

Robert Glen Gonzalez, the son of Eddie Gonzalez and Lynn Wagner, was born July 19, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. He attended McMinnville High School, McMinnville, Oregon, graduating in 1982. On February 27, 1985, Robert entered the United States Army, serving his country as an Army Ranger Medic. Robert Lee "Bob" Johnson, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025, at KU Medical Center. Born on September 4, 1959, in Maryville, MO, Bob was a member of the Barnard community.

Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Physical Education. He worked for Hy-Vee and Lowe's, his true passion was coaching and teaching, roles in which he took great pride.

A sports enthusiast, Bob was a successful basketball and baseball player, continuing to play both sports well beyond his high school years. Later in life, he found joy in slow-pitch softball. His love for sports was matched only by his devotion to his family. Bob was a caregiver for his parents for over two decades, a testament to his selflessness and love. He cherished every moment spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his father, Larry Johnson of Barnard, MO; his sons, Adam (Emily) Johnson of Wentzville, MO, and Alex (Kaitlyn) Johnson of Omaha, NE; his daughter, Abby Johnson of Omaha, NE; his brother, Richard (Teresa) Johnson of Barnard, MO; and his sisters, Arlene (Randy) Ward of Maryville, MO, and Janet (Dick) Peve of Kansas City, KS. He leaves behind four grandsons, Timmy, Jack, Teddy and Henry Johnson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Ruth Johnson, his niece, Rachel Anderson, and his brother-in-law, Greg Anderson.

Bob's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and community. He will be remembered for his commitment to his family, his passion for sports, and his generous spirit. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

There will be a visitation at 10 am, Saturday, July 26th at the Bram Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.

Bob will be laid to rest in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, Missouri.

Velma Rose Dudeck was born in Marion County, Kansas on April 24, 1928. She was one of two children of Arthur L. and Sarah (Miller) Popp. Velma’s father passed away when she was three, and her mother later married Gottlieb Arbeiter.

Velma graduated from York, Nebraska High School. On March 30, 1952 Velma married Paul E. Dudeck. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Velma was a typical farmwife of that generation, busy with helping on the farm, gardening, canning, and raising many chickens and their four children.

Velma was also preceded in death by infant triplets; son, George; grandson, Michael Dudeck; and her brother, Lowell Popp.&nbsp;

After Paul’s death, Velma continued to live on the farm until this past May. She passed away on July 22, 2025 at the Oregon Cere Center.&nbsp;

Survivors include her children, David (Anne) Dudeck, Dan (Karen) Dudeck, and Ruth (Jayson) Johnson; grandchildren, Rob (Beth) Dudeck, Matthew (Elizabeth) Dudeck, Chris (Laura) Daniel, Ashli (Jim) Wiederholt, David (Sarah) Dudeck, Joshua Dudeck, Jessica Pavlisin, Brooke (Jess) Berkey, Brittany (Brandon) Walker, and Brett (Lexi) Johnson; great grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, Jackson, and Kenton Dudeck; George, John, and Jacob Dudeck; Anna and Hank Daniel; Grayson, Elli, and William Wiederholt; Noah, Hadley, and Eliana Dudeck; Georgia and Amelia Dudeck; George, Charles, Adelaide and Ruby Pavlisin; William and Jack Burkey; and Eva Mae, Colin, and Meredith Walker.
