Tim Mccoy Collins, 77, of Bethany, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, at his home with his loving wife and sister by his side.&nbsp;

Tim was born in Pattonsburg, Missouri to Lucille (Tunnell) and Leo Collins on August 4, 1947. They preceded him in deat. He grew up in Pattonsburg with his 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Before finishing high school he joined the Navy in 1964 and served in the Vietnam War the last year of his service returning home in 1968.&nbsp;

He met his wife in 1987 and they were married on September 30, 1990. And later on that same year, while watching the 700 Club, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior while praying with Pat Robertson.

He was preceeded in death by his brothers, John and Garland Collins and his sisters, Judy Weldon, Sue Fitzgerald, and Barbara Jones.

He is survived by his wife Roena; sister Penny Collins; nieces Lisa, Angie, Heather, Stacey, and Kelly; and nephews Jason and Ernie. They never had any children of their own but he is survived by 3 step children, Mike Cook of Eagleville, MO, Matt (Kelley) Cook of Bethany, MO, and Melisha (Bill) Pilgrim of Tulsa, OK; nine step grandchildren; and one step great grandson. He loved his wife's children and grandchildren as his own and loved spending time with them.&nbsp;

He had several jobs in the course of his life including Stowes Hardware in Kansas City and Lambert Cap Factory in Gallatin and Bethany. &nbsp;In 1988 he started work at the Western Missouri Correctional Facility in Cameron, Mo. He retired after over 24 years of service. He made many friends while working there but enjoyed being retired even more.&nbsp;

He loved going to his step grandson's baseball, basketball, and football games. He enjoyed all of his grandchildren and loved being with them. He enjoyed mowing and loved watching the Chief's football games.&nbsp;

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.&nbsp;

A graveside service with military honors will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Miriam Cemetery in Bethany, Missouri. Memorials and contributions are suggested to the Harrison County Cancer Fund.

Bryce Lane Schoonover was born July 21, 1963, to James and Faire (Drewes) Schoonover of Mound City, Missouri.

On August 2, 1986, he married the love of his life, Patricia Lynn Hunziger, of Oregon, Missouri. They became the parents of three beautiful daughters, whom he loved and cherished. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Bryce enjoyed growing up working alongside his parents at Schoonover Oil Company, Inc., where he was the current owner/operator. He was an honest, upright and hard-working man who never met a stranger.

He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Mound City and a loyal soldier in the Lord’s army. The most important thing to him was his relationship with Jesus Christ. His main mission in life was to tell others about God’s plan of salvation through Him. “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11-12 NIV)

Bryce passed away on his 62nd birthday, July 21, 2025 at a St. Joseph hospital after suffering a massive hemorrhagic stroke.

He was preceded in death by his father, James; brother-in-law, Tommy Quick, and an unborn child and grandchild.

In addition to his wife, Patty, he is survived by his daughters: Anna Statesel (James), Laura Lewis (Kolby) and Sarah Bridgman (Josh); mother, Faire; grandchildren: Evelynn Rose Statesel, Brylee Joy Lewis, and Henry Bryce and Ivy Louise Bridgman; siblings: Jon Schoonover (Kayla), Jill Asher (Dave) and Gay Quick (Allan Markt); numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and a great host of friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 25, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church in Mound City. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m., also at the church. The service will be live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page.

Memorials may be made to the Christian Fellowship Church or For God’s Children International (FGCI). Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, MO.

Patricia Irene (Merrigan) Archer, 94, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence, Kansas.

Born September 25, 1930, in Conception, Missouri, to Patrick and Irene (McLaughlin) Merrigan, Patricia graduated from Jefferson High School and married Donald Edward Archer in 1948.

They farmed in the area until 1951 when Donald was called back to active duty in the US Navy. They moved to Iowa in 1960 where Patricia graduated from Mount Mercy College and began working as a home economist for the REC in Anamosa.

She and Don also farmed with their 5 children in Amber, Iowa and Don worked for the IRS. He retired from the IRS in 1980, and they opened Archer Tax Service together. In 1999, they retired to Maryville, Missouri, where they became active members of St. Gregory’s Barbarigo Catholic Church. In 2022, Patricia moved to Lawrence, Kansas.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother – and each role was important to her. She was an avid sewer and quilter, a refinisher of furniture, a volunteer at the local hospital, soup kitchen and St. Gregory’s, and will be remembered for her love and energy and patience.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Donald F. Archer, infant son, Patrick James, her parents, brothers, Donald and William, sisters Anna, Jeannie, Eulalia (Schieber), Lucia (Munsch), Winnie (Stark), and Veronica (Dorrel).

Survivors include children and spouses: P.V. and Diane Archer, Sarasota, Florida, Donna and Norman Faye, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nancy and Greg Rehkamp, Sarasota, Florida, Jennie and Mike Atwood, Lawrence, Kansas, and Patrick and Linda Archer, Huntington Beach, California, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Cecelia Meyer, Stanberry, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a parish and family Rosary at 4:30 PM, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Gregory’s Bargarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri, with the visitation following until 6:30 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Gregory’s Barbarigo Catholic Church. The burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri.

Patricia Archer September 25, 1930-July 19, 2025

Golda Annette Strohecker was born on June 4, 1944, to Jesse and Mary Jane (Dew) Merriett at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, MO. She passed on March 16, 2025, in Oceanside, CA.

Annette was the eldest of five children and as a military family of the 1940-1960's traveled across the country. She graduated from Junction City, KS High School in 1962. She then returned to Burlington Junction, MO so she could attend the St. Joseph Beauty School in St. Joseph, МО.

While in Missouri, she met and married Marvin D. Crabtree on October 1, 1964. Together they traveled in a silver Air Stream trailer across the United States because Marvin worked for the National Geodetic Survey (NOAA). They had a daughter in 1965, Candace Ann, in Newberry, MI, and a son in 1967, Russell Dean, in Klamath Falls, OR. During this time, they lived in many places including Michigan, Oregon, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Kansas. In the mid 1970's, Annette moved her family to Burlington Junction for the children's education. It was there that she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. She attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated in 1976 from the Licensed Practical Nursing program.

The family moved to Manassas VA in 1978, where she continued her nursing education, becoming a Registered Nurse at the Prince William Hospital in Manassas. She loved her nursing career, especially helping newborns enter the world and caring for the sick and injured as a licensed EMT.

In 1984 she and Marvin divorced and soon after she met and married Robert (Bob) F. Strohecker on September 8, 1984. Together they enjoyed motorcycle riding, bowling, trap shooting, and Blue Grass music. In 1993 Annette and Bob returned to the Midwest where they purchased the local hardware store in Burlington Junction, MO. She continued her nursing career by flying back and forth to Manassas VA for the next three years, retiring after 20 years with Prince William Hospital. Annette then worked at Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph, MO and at Fairfax Community Hospital in Fairfax, MО.

Annette enjoyed her flower garden, crafting-especially ceramic painting, going "junking" with her best friend Polly Barton, traveling with her daughter to various cities and countries, and hosting family gatherings of the Merriett and Dew cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jesse and Mary Jane Merriett, husband Robert F. Strohecker, ex-husband Marvin D. Crabtree, brother in laws Jon Q. Nelson and Glen Allen McGinness. Left to cherish her memory are Candace, Paul, and Alaric Boughman of Oceanside, CA; Russell Dean Crabtree of Wichita, KS; Jesse and Nikki Merriett of Maryville, MO; Janet and Stuart Moser of Savannah, MO; Theresa and Haywood Martin of Medical Lake, WA; Marsha and Mike Gibson of Burlington Junction, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews, and the hundreds of friends and co-workers she met throughout her life.

He was born on May 20, 1948 to Milton Sanderfer and Mary Moore in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Benjamin Sanderfer May 20, 1948-July 18, 2025

Michael A. Jennings, 75, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home Monday, July 21, 2025.

He was born April 28, 1950 in St. Joseph to Donald and Mary (McVay) Jennings. He grew up in St. Joseph, where he started working as a young boy delivering the St. Joseph News-Press. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1968. He was a member of Woodson Chapel Church.

Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in Newfoundland and during the Vietnam War, then later in the U.S. Army Reserves in Panama and during Desert Storm.

After his military service, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Missouri Western State College. He was a farmer all of his life, raising livestock and row crops with his father. He also sold seed corn and worked for ChemLawn as well as drove a road grader for Andrew County.

He married Georgeanne Walker on August 22, 1968. They later divorced. He married Verna Jo Davis on November 26, 1992, and she survives of the home.

Sports were a big part of Michael’s life. He started a noncompetitive youth baseball league in Savannah, which later became an American Legion league. He built the league’s field himself. He started boys baseball and girls volleyball at Savannah High School in the 1989-1990 school year. He would also take a few kids each summer to Phil Welch Stadium to see baseball games and hopefully encourage them to follow their talent and dreams in the sport.

Besides baseball, Michael enjoyed going dancing with Verna and loved his animals.

An outgoing, social fellow who was known in his earlier years to be the life of the party, Michael was foremost a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a big, generous heart who would help anyone, anytime.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Michael Scott Jennings; and brother-in-law, Daryl Schneider.

Michael A. Jennings, 75, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home Monday, July 21, 2025.He was born April 28, 1950 in St. Joseph to Donald and Mary (McVay) Jennings. He grew up in St. Joseph, where he started working as a young boy delivering the St. Joseph News-Press. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1968. He was a member of Woodson Chapel Church.Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in Newfoundland and during the Vietnam War, then later in the U.S. Army Reserves in Panama and during Desert Storm.After his military service, Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Missouri Western State College. He was a farmer all of his life, raising livestock and row crops with his father. He also sold seed corn and worked for ChemLawn as well as drove a road grader for Andrew County.He married Georgeanne Walker on August 22, 1968. They later divorced. He married Verna Jo Davis on November 26, 1992, and she survives of the home.Sports were a big part of Michael’s life. He started a noncompetitive youth baseball league in Savannah, which later became an American Legion league. He built the league’s field himself. He started boys baseball and girls volleyball at Savannah High School in the 1989-1990 school year. Jerry Diggs, 82, Maitland, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, peacefully at his home.

He was born January 2, 1943 in Skidmore, Missouri, to Tom and Joyce (Ward) Diggs.

Jerry married Nancy Yvonne Ramsey on December 22, 1976. She survives of the home.

He farmed in the Maitland, Missouri area all of his life. He and Nancy raised livestock when they were first married, then later they focused on row crops.

Jerry was known for his duck hunting skills, earning the nickname “One shot – One kill Diggs.” He began hunting rabbits and squirrels at age 7, the beginning of a long, avid career of hunting waterfowl, professional clay target shooting, then competitive live pigeon shoots. He won first place in the World Pigeon shoot in Mexico City, Mexico, in 1992 and repeated that feat the next year in Guadalajara, Mexico. His team won the Race of the Nations, Mexico, in 1994, the same year he represented the U.S. in the World Pigeon Shoot in Lisbon, Portugal, and won first place. He was inducted into the Waterfowlers Hall of Fame.

Family and friends say Jerry was 10 feet tall and bulletproof. He was extremely positive and wouldn’t tolerate negativity, even after his health started failing. He leaves a legacy of love, achievement, and memories for his family to cherish.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark A. Diggs; son-in-law, Steven L. Nielson; and several well-trained Labrador hunting buddies.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Nancy; children, Julie M. Nielson, David D. Diggs, and Jeff E. McIntyre; grandchildren, Matthew (Elizabeth) Brown, Shawna Sielert, Daniel (Jessica) Nielson, Silas (Alisha) Nielson, Sara Schulter, Jessica Johnson, Molly Roberts, and Christopher Michael McIntyre; great-grandson, Steven Y. Anthony Scott Riley, Jr., 55, of St. Charles, went to heaven on June 13, 2025. He was born to Anthony Riley, Sr. and the late Linda Riley. He was married to Tammy (Unnerstall) Riley for twenty years.

Anthony was a loving father to Stephen Anthony Riley (Jamie Riley) and Seth Edward Riley, 3 grandchildren: Erik, Sallie, and Sylas, 2 sisters: Vickie Eckley and Stephanie Wilson, nieces and nephews and a great nephew. He also had two fur babies, Bella and Cooper.

Anthony was an Army Veteran and worked for several companies throughout the years. If you had the pleasure of knowing Anthony, then you will know he had the biggest heart and always was giving and didn’t want anything in return. He was a sweet and funny guy who would talk to anyone who would listen and probably some who weren’t listening too.

He was currently attending Morning Star Church in Dardine Prairie. He enjoyed being a part of the church community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Anthony’s life. Details will be provided by the family.

She graduated Hopkins High School in 1960. &nbsp;On September 3, 1961, she was united in marriage to William (Bill) E. Spalding in Hopkins.

She was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was known as an outstanding seamstress, quilter, card player and friend. &nbsp;Carole worked at Nodaway County Abstract for several years. She was a member of Chapter K PEO, and the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Ben McIntyre.

She is survived by her husband Bill, children, Jon (Denise) Spalding, Marsha (Curtis) Martin, Joel Spalding, 6 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and 6 great great grandkids. &nbsp;She is also survived by her sisters Virginia Gill, Norma Robison, sister-in-law Pat Swaney, brother-in-law Jerry Spalding and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church, Hopkins, Missouri.&nbsp; The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Troy Michael Heflin, 48, of Kansas City, Missouri, and formerly of Maryville, passed away at home on Monday, July 14, 2025.

Troy was born in Maryville, on July 14, 1977, to Vince Michael and Teryl VeAnn (Brown) Heflin. He had lived in Maryville in his youth and moved to Blue Springs, Missouri, and graduated high school there.

He loved his pets, especially dogs and cats, and was a big sports fan and supporter, and followed the Chiefs and Royals.

He had worked as a sports stadium employee in Kansas City and did whatever needed done. He also had worked at local Kansas City Auto Auctions.

His mother, Teryl preceded him in death, as well as his grandparents, Virgil and Veda Brown, and Francis and Mary Rose Heflin.

His survivors include his father, Vince Heflin, Maryville, Missouri, his brother, Kodi Heflin, (Kandace Damgar), and his sister, Tera Heflin. Also, by his nephew, Talon Taylor, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Troy has been cremated under the care of the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Memorial services are set for 2:00 PM, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Bram Funeral Home, Maryville. No formal visitation is planned.

Roger Allen Swaney, 86, of Hopkins, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at a healthcare center in Maryville, Missouri.

Roger was born west of Hopkins on May 24, 1939, to Roy Henry and Mary U. (Fuller) Swaney. He attended school in Hopkins and was a lifelong resident of the area, living in the same house for 60 years.

Roger worked for Turner Asphalt of Hopkins, then for Loch Sand and Construction of Maryville. Later, he opened and operated Swaney Repair, where he fixed farm and construction equipment in the Hopkins area. The love he had for his community and family was shown everyday of his life.&nbsp;

On February 10, 1963, at the Methodist Church in Gaynor, Missouri, Roger was united in marriage to Patricia S. Spalding, who survives him at their home.

Roger was a member of the Wray Memorial United Methodist Church in Hopkins. He liked horses/mules and rode for many years as a member of the Hopkins Saddle Club. He also built, owned, and raced cars at the Mount Ayr Racetrack for several years. Roger had a love for tractors, especially Farmalls and Case, and built and showed them in the area. He enjoyed visits from his grandkids, helping with his tractors, and throwing rocks from the bridge.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Norma Swaim, sister-in-law Carol Spalding, and brother-in-law Carl Lewis.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home, his sister Joyce Lewis of Maryville, Missouri, and his brother Doyle “Dick” (Allene) Swaney. Roger is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Bill Spalding and Jerry Spalding, his daughter Rhonda Swaney of Maryville, Missouri, and his two sons, Scott (Susie) Swaney of Carbondale, Kansas, and Steven (Carrie) Swaney of Blair, Nebraska. Roger leaves behind seven grandchildren: April, Hannah, Erin, Skyler (Hanna), Payton, Corryn, and Addisyn, as well as two great-grandsons, Kayden and Henry. Several nieces, and nephews.&nbsp;

Roger has been cremated under the care of Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, Missouri.

A private family celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Hopkins Community Building, Hopkins, Missouri. The family will gather at 11:00 AM, for lunch, and doors to the building will open at 2:00 PM, for all who would like to celebrate Roger’s life. His remains will be scattered at a later time.&nbsp;

Roger Swaney May 24, 1939-July 17, 2025

Tim was born in Pattonsburg, Missouri to Lucille (Tunnell) and Leo Collins on August 4, 1947. They preceded him in death. He grew up in Pattonsburg with his 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Before finishing high school he joined the Navy in 1964 and served in the Vietnam War the last year of his service returning home in 1968.&nbsp;

He met his wife in 1987 and they were married on September 30, 1990. And later on that same year, while watching the 700 Club, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior while praying with Pat Robertson. He is survived by his wife Roena; sister Penny Collins; nieces Lisa, Angie, Heather, Stacey, and Kelly; and nephews Jason and Ernie. Tim Mccoy Collins, 77, of Bethany, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, at his home with his loving wife and sister by his side.&nbsp;Tim was born in Pattonsburg, Missouri to Lucille (Tunnell) and Leo Collins on August 4, 1947. They preceded him in death. He grew up in Pattonsburg with his 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Before finishing high school he joined the Navy in 1964 and served in the Vietnam War the last year of his service returning home in 1968.&nbsp;He met his wife in 1987 and they were married on September 30, 1990. And later on that same year, while watching the 700 Club, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior while praying with Pat Robertson. He is survived by his wife Roena; sister Penny Collins; nieces Lisa, Angie, Heather, Stacey, and Kelly; and nephews Jason and Ernie. He retired after over 24 years of service. He made many friends while working there but enjoyed being retired even more.&nbsp;He loved going to his step grandson's baseball, basketball, and football games. He enjoyed all of his grandchildren and loved being with them. He enjoyed mowing and loved watching the Chief's football games.&nbsp;He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.&nbsp;A graveside service with military honors will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Miriam Cemetery in Bethany, Missouri. Memorials and contributions are suggested to the Harrison County Cancer Fund.<figure>

Dr. Jerry Elmer Kadolph, 90, of Bethany, MO passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at a Stanberry, MO nursing home.

He was born April 25, 1935 in Hadley, Minnesota the son of Elmer and Ruby (Karl) Kadolph.

On June 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Berniece Stuckey. &nbsp;She survives of the home.

Jerry practiced his profession as a chiropractor and owner at Kadolph Chiropractic Clinic in Bethany, MO for many years. &nbsp;He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, Bethany, MO and a member of the American Chiropractic Association and Missouri State Chiropractors Association. He also had been a Bethany City Council member and a member of the Bethany Rotary, Barbershop Chorus and Masonic Lodge.&nbsp;

&nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jeffery Eugene Dunahoo, age 58, of Albany, Missouri, passed away at his home on July 15, 2025.

Born on September 14, 1966 in Nevada, Iowa, Jeff was the son of Darrell and Joyce (Patterson) Dunahoo.&nbsp;

He was baptized on May 31, 1981 by Pastor Duane H. O'Tool at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City, Iowa. Jeff graduated from Story City, Iowa High School.

Jeff dedicated his professional life to the concrete industry, serving as a concrete foreman. Later a career change took him to Thomas Meat Locker in Ridgeway.

Jeff, a devoted college and NFL enthusiast, always looked forward to game days. He passionately supported both the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburg Steelers while his collegiate loyalty lay firm with Iowa State. Watching games with his Dad, Mom and brother was a cherished tradition, often accompanied by friendly wagers on some. Jeff's keen eye and encyclopedic knowledge of stats often outshone even the commentators, earning him the title of best arm chair referee. Beyond the gridiron, Jeff found solace and joy in fishing, especially when family joined him at the tranquil ponds on the farm, or during memorable trips to Tuttle Creek Lake with his brother. &nbsp;He was dedicated to his family's farm helping with the cattle and working the land.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald and Barbra Dunahoo and Merle and Virginia Patterson; his aunt and uncle Kate and Don Randall; and his uncles Harold Patterson and Don Dunahoo.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Darrell and Joyce Dunahoo; his brother Jody Dunahoo; niece Tearney Dunahoo; and great-niece Hadley Jo Norris. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Leo and Boonie Dunahoo, Bill Stuve and Jean Valentine, Mike and Donna Johnson, and Howard Patterson; many cousins and dear friends.

Danny was a big fan of The Big Bang Theory, the Zane Grey western novels series, Highway to Heaven, cowboy historical locations, and the SyFy Channel. Blue was definitely his color. His humor, a bit impish.

Danny Parker died in his sleep sometime early Sunday morning, July 6, 2025 in Mound City, Mo., at the home of his sister Carol Sue Ward, where he had lived in her hospitality and care since 2018. He had been dealing for years with diabetes and end-stage renal disease, and recently spent several weeks at a skilled care facility to receive more intense treatment. He was 67.

Born April 17, 1958, at the newly opened North Kansas City (Mo.) Hospital, Danny was among the first babies delivered there, missing out on the first newborn prize package by just a week or so. The extended family lived in nearby Parkville and Riverside, Mo., coming to that area in the early 1940s to pursue better work opportunities. His father worked for an asphalt roofing manufacturer and later a rock quarry. His mom was a clerk in the home goods department at Woolworth’s.

In 1959, she moved back to her hometown of Athelstan, in southwest Iowa, with baby Danny and his sisters Carol Sue and Norma Ruth. Their dad died in early 1963 at the state hospital in St. Joseph, Mo. &nbsp;

Danny attended elementary school in nearby Blockton and Conway, Iowa, and the Bedford Community High School. &nbsp;He got a start in construction and excavation work on crews with his brother, Edward Phillip “Bud” Parker, 17 years his elder. Over the years Danny also worked with brother-in-law Bill Clark along with several nephews and cousins who were close to him in age.

Those work projects took him on short-term stays in Kansas, Colorado, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He helped in laying both natural gas pipelines and fiber-optic cable. Eventually he also supervised crews, certified fittings safety compliance, and transported heavy equipment between job sites. Work injuries and reliance on fast food on the road contributed to later health issues.

Between projects, he was usually back on an acreage near Adrian, Mo., where he and his mom had moved in the 1980s, and later other family members followed. That farm became a drawing place for his eldest sister Fern, her son Sam and daughter Debbie, and Debbie’s daughter Mandy. Debbie died in 1994; his mom in late 1995; sister Fern in 1999; sister Ann in 2008; and niece Mandy in 2019.

Around 2014, Danny moved into town to help June Koger, an aunt of Ann’s husband, Jim. It was June and her late husband, Wilmer who had sold Danny their farm when they retired to town. Wilmer died in late 1996, and June in 2016.

Among those mourning Danny are his sisters, Carol Sue Ward of Mound City, Mo. and Norma Ruth Parker Wilson of Eugene, Ore.; his sister-in-law, Glenda Parker of Holly Springs, Miss. (wife of his brother, Bud, who died in 2022); and nieces and nephews, who were more like siblings, Billy Gene Clark and Dave Clark of Adrian, Mo., and Brenda Clark Taylor of Esbon, Kan.

To others in the family, he was Uncle Danny. So much so, Glenda notes, that’s what she and her daughters and their families and even some of the neighbors all called him. He was Uncle, too, to Jimmy Dean Parker, Angela Parker Flores, her daughters Amber, Courtney, Kristina, Ashley and especially her son Alex; to Sam Clark of Alaska; Becky Bryant, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Donnie Bryant of Kentucky; Anthony Parker, Mound City, Mo., and Lisa, Jason and Elizabeth Wilson.

Though Danny never married, he doted on and was sometimes a father figure to several of his great nieces and nephews: Michael Taylor of Happy Acres, Kan., Kaitlyn Bryant and Amber Sutton of LaGrange, Ky.; Chelsie and Chip Snow of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and Mandy Clark and her children River Clark, and Harry and Vivian Greer, of Adrian, Mo.

Danny will be missed but definitely not begrudged relief from pain and fatigue, or the homegoing to all the loved ones who have gone before.

Daniel Parker April 17, 1958-July 6, 2025

Robert Paul “Bob” Westfall, Jr. 79, of Marville, Missouri, passed from this life at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, on July 16, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1946, in Maryville, Missouri, to Robert Paul Westfall, Sr. and Roberta Frances Morris Westfall.

His father worked in the oil industry, and his mother was a dedicated schoolteacher. Bob came from a proud, deeply rooted Maryville family, a legacy he carried forward through a lifetime of service, friendship, and community spirit.

Bob graduated from Maryville High School in 1964, where he was a proud Spoofhound. He loved his classmates and was known as the “glue” that held their class together. Class reunions were among his favorite events, and he never missed an opportunity to reconnect with friends.

After high school, Bob attended Ventura Community College in California before transferring to Northwest Missouri State University, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity.

On December 23, 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Caroline Beatrice Stoll, at St. Gregory Church in Maryville while on military leave. Carolyn remained in Maryville while Bob served in the U.S. Army. He completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Advanced Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia, and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, before being deployed to Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam in August 1967. He served honorably until his discharge on August 28, 1968, at Fort Lewis, Washington. Bob served as a Transportation Movement Specialist in field support. He received numerous commendations, including the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with two bars, and a Specialist Qualification in the M-16.

Following his service, Bob began his career in the oil industry in Creston, Iowa. After a year, he returned to Maryville, where he worked for 36 years as a Head Pipeliner, Welder, and Specialized Work Activity Team Leader throughout the Midwest with Standard Oil, Amoco, and BP. He retired from BP in 2004.

In 2004, Bob was elected as the North District Commissioner for Nodaway County, a position he proudly held for 3 terms, serving the county for 12 years. Bob spent countless hours making Nodaway County a better place to live through his gift of service to the community. He truly loved Nodaway County and the country he served.

Bob enjoyed gardening with his wife, especially growing wilted lettuce each year alongside fresh tomatoes. Bob had a true talent for gardening, especially for growing beautiful zinnias—his favorite flower.

An avid golfer, Bob especially enjoyed playing in the Tuesday Senior League and the Wednesday Night Golf League at Mozingo.

Since 1984, Bob has proudly held season tickets to Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Football. He rarely missed a home game, and 'The Westfall Tailgate' became a beloved tradition—known for its spirited gatherings before, during, and after the games. A cold beer and great friendship were always guaranteed, making Bob’s tailgate a favorite stop for friends, family, and fellow Bearcat fans alike

Bob loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to his face and laughter to his heart. Spending time with them was a true blessing to “Grandpa Bob.”

Some of Bob’s most cherished moments were spent on the front porch swing with Carolyn, sharing a cold Busch beer and conversation. From that familiar spot, they would take in the neighborhood where Bob had grown up—a place filled with memories and laughter.

Bob was a true asset to the Nodaway County community. He was known to volunteer wherever and whenever needed.

His outstanding services to the community includes: Nodaway County Commissioner – North District 2004 – 2016, 6 years on the Maryville, Missouri, Parks &amp; Recreation Board, Life member at Maryville Elks, Lodge #760 - former trustee, Member Maryville Host Lions - Melvin Jones Award and Chairman for the Meals on Wheels Committee, Member of James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100 serves on the Military Funeral Honor Flag Program – a joint effort of the Lions Club and Boy Scout Troop 75 to display nearly 200 Flags in Maryville on specific holidays. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Roberta Westfall; his brother, Thomas Morris Westfall; brothers-in-law Mark Wiley and Charles Robert Stoll; and niece, Sheila Kay Stiens.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Carolyn; son Timothy Robert Westfall of Maryville; twins Richard Lee (Julie) Westfall of St. Joseph and Traci Diane Westfall (Robert Archer) of Maryville; sister Christi Westfall Wiley of Independence; niece Lindsay Thompson (Buckner, MO); great-niece Jordyn Atagi (Clarksville, TN); grandchildren Alyssa Renee (Chris) Myers of Omaha and Zachary Tyler Westfall of St. Joseph; and great-grandchildren Hayden Tyler Myers and Riley Lee Myers of Omaha, In-Laws Margaret Westfall, Mary Ann (Manuel) Delatorre, Jim (Betsy) Stoll, Kathleen (Joe) Stiens, Joseph (Patty) Stoll, and Evelyn Stoll.

There will be a visitation Monday, July 21, 2025, from 5 - 7 PM at St. Gregory's Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10 AM, at St. Gregory's Barbarigo Catholic Church. The service will be livestreamed on the St. Gregory website www.stgregorysmaryville.org

Burial with full military rites will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri..

All are invited to a meal following the burial at the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100.

Robert Paul “Bob” Westfall, Jr. 79, of Marville, Missouri, passed from this life at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, on July 16, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1946, in Maryville, Missouri, to Robert Paul Westfall, Sr. and Roberta Frances Morris Westfall.His father worked in the oil industry, and his mother was a dedicated schoolteacher. Bob came from a proud, deeply rooted Maryville family, a legacy he carried forward through a lifetime of service, friendship, and community spirit.Bob graduated from Maryville High School in 1964, where he was a proud Spoofhound. He loved his classmates and was known as the “glue” that held their class together. Class reunions were among his favorite events, and he never missed an opportunity to reconnect with friends.After high school, Bob attended Ventura Community College in California before transferring to Northwest Missouri State University, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity.On December 23, 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Caroline Beatrice Stoll, at St. Gregory Church in Maryville while on military leave. Carolyn remained in Maryville while Bob served in the U.S. Army. He completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Advanced Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia, and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, before being deployed to Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam in August 1967. He served honorably until his discharge on August 28, 1968, at Fort Lewis, Washington. Bob served as a Transportation Movement Specialist in field support. He received numerous commendations, including the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with two bars, and a Specialist Qualification in the M-16.Following his service, Bob began his career in the oil industry in Creston, Iowa. After a year, he returned to Maryville, where he worked for 36 years as a Head Pipeliner, Welder, and Specialized Work Activity Team Leader throughout the Midwest with Standard Oil, Amoco, and BP. He retired from BP in 2004.In 2004, Bob was elected as the North District Commissioner for Nodaway County, a position he proudly held for 3 terms, serving the county for 12 years. Bob spent countless hours making Nodaway County a better place to live through his gift of service to the community. He truly loved Nodaway County and the country he served.Bob enjoyed gardening with his wife, especially growing wilted lettuce each year alongside fresh tomatoes. Bob had a true talent for gardening, especially for growing beautiful zinnias—his favorite flower.An avid golfer, Bob especially enjoyed playing in the Tuesday Senior League and the Wednesday Night Golf League at Mozingo.Since 1984, Bob has proudly held season tickets to Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Football. He rarely missed a home game, and 'The Westfall Tailgate' became a beloved tradition—known for its spirited gatherings before, during, and after the games. A cold beer and great friendship were always guaranteed, making Bob’s tailgate a favorite stop for friends, family, and fellow Bearcat fans alikeBob loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to his face and laughter to his heart. Spending time with them was a true blessing to “Grandpa Bob.”Some of Bob’s most cherished moments were spent on the front porch swing with Carolyn, sharing a cold Busch beer and conversation. From that familiar spot, they would take in the neighborhood where Bob had grown up—a place filled with memories and laughter.Bob was a true asset to the Nodaway County community. He was known to volunteer wherever and whenever needed.His outstanding services to the community includes: Nodaway County Commissioner – North District 2004 – 2016, 6 years on the Maryville, Missouri, Parks &amp; Recreation Board, Life member at Maryville Elks, Lodge #760 - former trustee, Member Maryville Host Lions - Melvin Jones Award and Chairman for the Meals on Wheels Committee, Member of James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100 serves on the Military Funeral Honor Flag Program – a joint effort of the Lions Club and Boy Scout Troop 75 to display nearly 200 Flags in Maryville on specific holidays. Lawrence R. Koelzer, 69, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025.He was born July 29, 1955 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Raymond and Letha (Horne) Koelzer. He grew up in Omaha and after graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, enlisting in 1973. He first served on the USS Sperry and then on the USS Midway.After the service, he went to work as a carman for the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, then the Santa Fe Railway in San Diego, California, before settling in Kansas to work at the Kyle Railroad.It was at Kyle that he met the love of his life, Dianne Kay White. They wed on January 30, 1988.Lawrence loved riding his dirt bikes and motorcycles, as well as working on his shop projects, especially his 1951 Chevy five-window truck.He also loved baseball, particularly the College World Series. He had fond memories of Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha and going to the series games there as a boy.An extremely generous man, Lawrence was a loving husband, father and grandfather, known for his “Dad Talks” where he dispensed straightforward advice. He leaves many memories for his family to cherish.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Dianne; children, Kirk Koelzer (Crystal), Wesley Koelzer (Estella Smith), Stephen Koelzer (Brandi), and Lindsay Gomez (Rene); 10 grandchildren; siblings, Ray Koelzer, Cathie Koelzer, Mike Koelzer, Mitzi Mason, Joan Bitting, Lisa Christy, Richard Koelzer, and Kevin Koelzer; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.Farewell Services and Public Livestream 3:00 P.M.
